Women’s water polo knows how to fuel a fire

During a sunny weekend in Northern California, women’s water polo competed in the Bay Area against Santa Clara, Marist College, CSU Monterey Bay and CSU East Bay. Returning 2-2, the Golden Eagles battled tough competition on Friday but used that momentum to find their groove on Saturday, securing wins against Monterey Bay and East Bay.

Jeff Runyan honored as an ACWPC Division ll First Team All-American

Senior water polo player Jeff Runyan has been honored as an ACWPC Division ll First Team All-American. Runyan earned this same honor at Merced College before transferring to CUI. Runyan has scored 80 goals this season, only 52 goals away from breaking the all-time scoring record at Concordia. His goal for the upcoming season is to be named All American again and break the school record.

Eagles end losing streak in style with overtime win

The men’s water polo team ended their two game losing streak on their senior day at their home pool.

This season has been a tough one for the men's water polo team. In the last seven games, the team has lost four games. As the season was coming to an end, the team needed a win and they got a tough win against Fresno Pacific in overtime.
